Progression on The Self Portrait Art Movement Assignment

During todays class Ms Lisa had told us that we would be contunying our progress regarding our art movement self portraits.Since my art movement was arts and craft I had brought all my materials to class in order to continue where I had left off. With the help of my friends they gave me a rough idea on how I can make my dream catcher look more of a self portrait.I showed Ms Lisa my progress on the dream catcher and even asked if I could make the dream catcher in such way that it wouldn't look like any other traditional dream catchers.Ms Lisa told me that it was completely fine and that I have the total freedom to do anything since it is craft related.

My Progression so far :

Crafting supplies that I've used:
1.A ring/Loop
2.Strings/Yawn/Coloured thread
3.Beads
4.Feathers/leaves
5.Glue
6.Wire
7.Patience

The top picture is another dream catcher that I made but I've decided to go with the one in the second  picture.
I tied the strings together and knotted them to the loop which I then added some tiny beads at the centre of the dream catcher just to add a little extra detail.I've kept the loop unwrapped because I like how wooden and minimalistic the loop looks that way.

I begin to add colourful beads and tied them together with the feathers.
Heres a fact,I actually cut open my friendship bracelet that was given to me from my primary friend just to get those beads.

I then wrapped the wires with colourful strings just to add more colour.I then took the coloured wires and coiled them with the feathered beads. This took a lot of patience I've even injured my self with minor cuts.

Excuse the table background, but as you can see I've made a wired side view of my head (with the help of Serra, thank you) to add to my dream catcher.

There you see the loop is finally finished.I again wrapped the wires with colour thread and secured it to the loop. There you have a side view of my portrait.

progress update soon
